ABOUT ME!
Jonathan Thomas is a Houston Native and spent most of his childhood growing up in Suwanee, GA. During his early years, he trained in sports such as football and track & field through middle school. It wasn’t until then that he met his dance teacher at Peachtree Ridge that he knew he could make an exceptional career out of dance.
Thomas attended Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, where, during his tenure, he worked closely with the Brenau University Dance Department and had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned choreographers throughout the years, including Nicholas Palmquist, Jennifer Archibald, Owen Scarlett, and Anthony Burrell, among others. In addition, he earned his B. A double major in dance and legal studies, and graduated Cum Laude in 2023.
He has trained with the Xcel talent agency adult program and worked closely with Bubba Carr, Danni Heverin, Jeremy Green, Chris Lucky, Lyrik London, Anthony Marquis, Sherrod Tate, and more. During his training with Xcel, he focused on styles such as jazz/street styles, house, hip hop, contemporary, Afro, and musical theatre. Additionally, during his training with the agency, he taught contemporary full-time at Atlanta Jazz Theatre, where he also set two contemporary works for the Radix convention.
Continuing to train in various styles, Jonathan hopes to one day make his Broadway debut or tour with his favorite artist around the country one day! He is excited for his future endeavors and hopes to continue sharing his passion for dance and performance with the world!
